CD Review: Aly’an, “Aly’an”

This dynamic duo is shaking up things in a hurry. Alyson Burke and Andrea Warner just completed their first album with independent music label, Canopy Music Group, and there’s not a bad song on it. They will celebrate the release April 26th, at Eddie Montgomery’s Steak House in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. They are well known for their great live stage shows, which have included performances with Bucky Covington, Trent Tomlinson, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Confederate Railroad, Ashton Shepherd, Chris Knight, and are currently scheduled to open for Marty Stuart this summer. Not only are they accomplished musicians, but their vocals are incredible with harmonies that blend so well you’d swear they were sisters. My personal favorites are tracks three, “Bourbon”– a soul stirring ballad, six, “Don’t Wanna Be Alone”– with its smokin’ hot licks, and they really rock it with thirteen, ”Bad Cowboy.”  Produced by Jeffrey Vice and recorded at Dog Ear Studios, Nashville, TN.  Check them out: www.canopymusicgroup.com
